Managing Devices

Overview

The eTags Companion App allows users to view and manage all registered digital shelf labels (eTags) in their store. This feature provides real-time visibility into device status, battery levels, and associated product bindings, ensuring optimal performance and easy troubleshooting.

Viewing Devices

  • Navigate to the Devices tab in the eTags Companion App.

  • A list of all registered devices will be displayed, each with:

    • Device MAC Address – A unique identifier for the eTag.

    • Battery Level – Indicates remaining power to help schedule maintenance.

    • Product Binding – Shows the currently assigned product, if applicable.

Checking Device Details

  • Tap on a device to view additional information, including:

    • The full product binding details (if applicable).

    • Battery health status for proactive device maintenance.

    • The "Help Me Find My eTag" feature to locate misplaced devices.

Using "Help Me Find My eTag"

  • If an eTag is misplaced, tap "Help Me Find My eTag" in the device details screen.

  • The selected device will blink to help you locate it quickly.

  • Once found, exit the feature to stop the blinking.

  • ✅ Regularly check battery levels to prevent unexpected device failures.

  • ✅ Verify that each device is correctly bound to the right product.
